Misc.

The last post to get this thing all caught up... But some pictures just had to be added...
Of course another soccer pic, because that's all we do. No really, it is!
But sometimes we do also watch late night Coug games. The Kearney family would like to accept any and all praise and commendation for that win. Because clearly they won because of Aidan's forcing of the family to sit, knees up, visor upside down for an hour.... You are welcome Coug nation.
Love having to walk a dog each evening and see the pretty sunsets!
Morgan and I ventured back to Jackson Hole for another tournament. A game on a polo field? Sure! The beauty was unmatched the moose poop everywhere was interesting.
Remember that girl on America's Got Talent? Nope, not even a close impersonation.
More cross country. The meets are HUGE!
But our girl has rocked it!

Ryan was gone for a week and a half and our nutrition was on point.
Some days I wish we could bike to downtown without having a monster hill to go back up... But then this view!!!
Remember how I previously mentioned Ryan was gone for a week and a half. Turns out we need him around here, things get a little weird in his absence.

More Gem State...

Once again, thanks to Michael Tobin for the pictures! We are lucky enough to have two kids who are the same age as his and manage to get them on similar teams! Win for us in the photo department!
Morgan has had such an incredible year and has found her spot as a mid-fielder. So proud of her and all the work she puts into this sport!
2nd Place finish, not too shabby!
She may be mini, but she is mighty!
Championship game line up....

Iphone version of championship game line up!
How Morgan's coach Josh deals with 18 13 year old girls is beyond me.... Godspeed Josh.

Gem State Champions!

Both kids participated in the Gem State Tournament and after logging 16 hours on the soccer field, we were happy to come away with one first place finish and one 2nd place finish! But since my posts get a little Morgan heavy at times, this one is devoted to AJ! He played so well and we couldn't be prouder of our buddy!
Such a great group of boys!
A huge thanks to Michael Tobin for these incredible pictures, even though his son is on the other Rush team, he took some great shots of our boys!

Because we have two teams, sometimes they have to play each other in tournaments, which is such a bummer. Aidan and Hudson have been playing on the same team since kindergarten, so kind of odd to see them playing against each other...
And Aidan and Toby are such great buddies, but they play so hard against each other at game time!

Semi finals ended in a tie... Which led to penalty kicks. Which led to me not really looking because I can't handle the stress of it. But AJ for the goal!

Tournament time was followed by the best after party! The Hulquists were kind enough to host both teams in their pool and lovely backyard. I knew I was headed toward the right house as I was pulling up and could hear 20 little boys yelling at the top of their  lungs. They have kind neighbors.

Soccer moms! I couldn't imagine a better group of ladies to freeze with, get wind burned with, to cheer with and to laugh with!

A teenager in the house!

I don't know how this happened, but it did... Morgan turned 13! Fingers and toes crossed, we are a couple months in and everyone has survived this milestone. Let's hope this continues!

A most perfect gift....
I mean, what's a birthday celebration without a batch of slime? (I don't get it.)

Not really sure what's happening here, but looks about right....

Mema and Papa came to visit to help us celebrate this milestone!

Saying that we are proud of this little girl just doesn't do it justice. She has kept us on our toes from day one and makes this world brighter, funnier and better.

Random addition to birthday post, but Morgan joined cross country! Mostly to help with soccer, but I have to say, she is pretty dang good!

She finished the season 33rd in the city out of all the 7th and 8th graders and was in the top 5 on East's team. We were beaming! How she goes from cross country practice to soccer practice every day is beyond me. But I'm finding a tired teen is a good teen, haha!
And this little blast from the past. Be still my heart....

And then it was FALL!

Big year for the Kearney Family, reallllllyyy big. Not only did we send one kid to junior high, but we joined the Boise School District. Buses? Yes please! We are absolutely thrilled with the change, even dealing with school on Fridays and all....
While Morgan didn't appreciate me being "that mom," I felt it was my obligation....
A little oral allergy syndrome sent us to the allergist for some testing. Luckily, the symptoms were from OAS and her testing for peanuts and eggs came back low enough to food challenge!!!!
We'll be heading back to National Jewish on March 25th for food challenges. We were offered to do it locally and while financially that makes good sense, I don't think my heart could handle it. You see, dear reader, the nurses and medical staff are insanely detailed, paranoid and neurotic. And you see, so am I when it comes to food allergies. So if I'm going to feed my kid food that has made that whole throat close thing happen in the past, you better believe I'm going to do it with the best of the best in attendance and in charge!
We celebrated those great test results with a lovely shopping trip.... Who is the world designs this stuff????
And Morgan being the ever and oh such a good sport while Ryan and Aidan were in McCall for Camp McCall with Rush, she joined me for a five mile run to raise money for my co-worker's niece with leukemia. She did so great!
Baylee found a swimming hole!
And Morgan found a chalkboard outside of Wiseguys Pizza. I mean who doesn't like a good Kim Kardashian quote?
No words for that.
We celebrated 15 years of marriage, in Sun Valley of course. 15 years!?!?! If our marriage was a baby, it would be driving now! (Deep thoughts.)
Nothing like testing the marriage with a long hike, while Ryan is in what he called "skater shoes." First of all, why didn't he wear shoes good for hiking? And second, skater shoes? I have found the key to this marriage is don't ask, just torture and make him keep going.

Yeah, we did take the gondola back. We were hung over, didn't bring water and Ryan was wearing skater shoes. Enough said.
I have no idea what this picture is from, but I love them!
And then it was time for the FIRST DAY of SCHOOL! It's dark, because Morgan's bus comes at 6:37 a.m. That's early folks. 7th grade, there she goes!
Luckily, Aidan's comes later.... I don't know why someone was cutting onions or maybe it was pollen, but I wasn't crying. I wasn't, okay. 5th grade, how did that happen?
Aidan is playing the flute. I may be biased, but I really think a cuter flute player doesn't exist.
???
Mom and Aidan date to the BSU game! (Ryan and Morgan were there too)
Look at this buddy!!! Ahhh, be still my heart.
Oh Morgan.
We finally got around to spreading some of Byron's ashes. Sorry Lucky Peak swimmers. We still miss that guy so, so much!

Back to the BSU game. Anyone know why the band is dressed as Mario or Luigi? I don't know either....
Go Broncos!
