And..... Sun Valley Again....

We celebrated Ms. Morgan's birthday at Head and the Heart in beautiful Sun Valley. And of course, our little sporty lady was repping the Sounders...
We picked up an extra child because, well he's just so cute. We always love time with the Hefner-Glavins!
 The Kearneys!
The Kearney kids, ready to rock!
And rock we did... We had a blast!
The kids don't share my love of front row. Something about their ears hurting. That's called good parenting right there....

Late night concert shenanigans and a chip and candy filled dinner.

 Internal magnet activated.
Labor Day in SV is always a treat with a great parade and people watching....

And no trip is complete without the big chair photo op....
Swimming pool fun. Oh this kid, how is it possible that she's 10. Love.

Mommy and her blonde haired boy. How lucky we are....

First Day of School and McCall Time!!!!

4th and 2nd Grade. And we are sporty people these days. Please don't look at their shoes, summer fun impeded school shopping. Problem has since been remedied.
This little lady is a) loving soccer and b) will always be visible from outer space given her love of BRIGHT!
We decided to spend our actual anniversary camping with the Hills, which is also ironically THEIR anniversary. Apparently all the cool people were married on that day. As we rolled into McCall, thunder/lightning/hail was also rolling in. What to do? Rent a cabin.... And the rest of the weekend was blue sky.
And of course we mountain biked!
And saw this pretty little view....
And locked keys in the car.... Another fun trip in the books with the Hills!!!
The kids have also developed a love for mountain biking, so we have been hitting the hills behind our house and having a BLAST!
This is a random picture, but a phenomenal view from my office.... Love Spirit of Boise!

12 years, 12 YEARS!!!!!!

I married this guy 12 YEARS AGO! Hard to believe how fast this has gone.... We ventured sans kids (thanks Mema and Papa) to one of our most favorite spots... Sun Valley!
We biked our faces off. We biked up Baldy at River Run, across the mountain and down Warm Springs. Let's just say that we may have been regretting a certain amount of consumed cocktails the evening before...
But the views were worth it!

And we had this little friend waiting for us at the finish line...
This my friends is what exhaustion looks like. NO, not from being married to me, from the bike ride!
All dressed up and ready for the night life.
But first had to celebrate living in Idaho and the assortment of monster trucks one encounters.

Happy Anniversary Mr. Kearney. Love, Mrs. Kearney

Fosseen Fun!

We had a great visit from the Fosseen family! And we realized that Shannon somehow got the "tall" genes, while Ryan did not have those to pass on.
 Silliness ensued, lots of it...
After extreme swimming, hiking, biking shenanigans, we had to get out of the sun and take in a movie.

 Look at this gaggle!!!!
I kept pushing on the Fosseen's heads trying to make them stop growing, but alas, it looks like they'll be looking down on their vertically challenged auntie very soon...
And they've already surpassed me in the cool factor.

Thanks for making the trek Fosseens! Until next time!!!!

Miscellaneous Summer 2014!

We were excited when Morgan and Aidan decided to prep for prom. They make a pretty cute date...
 Motherly love....
I wasn't kidding when I said that we spent a lot of time at Grandma's pool this summer.... So much so, that we sometimes needs "non pool" things to do pool-side....
This was all fun and games, soaking in swim suits, until the neighbor kids came over to play and realized our children are just a bit odd....
I have no idea what he's wearing, but yes, we are an odd crew....

I do not know why I don't have any more pictures of the Foster visit, but this will have to do for now. Long lost twins, Cassie and Aidan.
Oh Macka, macka, macka, how I love that boy so....
We left the kids with a sitter and had a fantastic night out. The list of drinking/eating establishments we DIDN'T hit would be smaller than the list of where we did go....
After the Fosters left to venture to Sun Valley, we had a night out a play, High School Musical. It was a HIT!
We also had some time dog-sitting Cody. What type of dog sitters would we be if we didn't engage in some dress up time?
I think I have too much free time.

This summer could be classified as "Summer of the Water Sports." Our kids developed a fascination of knee-boarding, water skiing and tubing. And I started water skiing too. I now get why Ryan gets up at the crack o' dawn for "soft water."
And sometimes there are homemade pirate ships on Lucky Peak. Glad to know we aren't the only odd folk in town.
And then this happened..... I know it's obviously a small snake, but a. SNAKE. IN. MY. HOUSE. nonetheless. Not okay people, not okay. But problem solved. I spent my entire retirement account on "Snake B-Gone" and if my kids start growing arms out of their foreheads from the chemicals, well so be it.
