Life in the Time of Quarantine....

The number of times I have said "surreal" and "weird" in 2020 has exceeded 20 billion. I mean seriously though SURREAL AND WEIRD.

Yes, we had a medical scare with Morgan. But don't worry, she had some head phone oxygen and put a band-aid on her finger and all is well. Paper cuts are legit folks.

And who says Ryan's job isn't glamorous. Yes, this has been in my kitchen since March and I'm thrilled about it.

Proving once again, my friends are the best... Frose for zoom call happy hour? Yes, please!

Like the rest of America, quarantine life means home projects.

Before COVID-19 had other ideas for us all, we moved Grandma Dolly into Assisted Living. She was very "creative" in the organizing and packing process...

This grocery cart and logged MILES in getting stuff from her 3rd floor unit to my car. So many MILES!

Ironically, this pic was from BEFORE the rest of the world was wearing masks. I know, I'm a trend setter! Work had a horrific flu outbreak, who knew the foreshadowing!

We also learned that Morgan is really pushing herself academically at school.

Shockingly none of fell down the stairs while waiting for new banister.

Ryan has literally repainted every inch of our house. He's a keeper.

There has also been some "shootin.'" Prepping for things to go real south in the event the TP shortages continues and we have to hunt for TP trees or fight off zombies. Don't worry, just a bb gun...

When the golf course closes, you get creative... He took his game to the foothills for a golfing win!

Our selfie game is strong.

Things get a little weird in the life of COVID 19.

No school, no problem! Well, maybe a little spelling problem....

Poor grandma had to turn 89 in lock down. So hard to know that so many seniors are so trapped!

I think they should let me into those Assisted Living Facilities because my elderly activity interest level is high! Puzzles for the quarantine win!

So many online sessions and zoom calls for work has made me question my wrinkle sitch. I have the perfect answer....

We did have to sneak away to McCall under the guise of "getting our stuff," but really, just had to get out of dodge. Even if just for two nights!

I really don't know what I'd do without these zoom calls with girlfriends, added bonus is Heather's background game. It's strong folks!

Our hair sitch is also out of control.

I think might voluntarily get sick so he can avoid yet again another game. Actually, Morgan might be right after him in line in the avoidance game.

See? Heather wins Zoom. Mic drop.

So many hikes. Seriously, so many. Like multiple a day sometimes. THANK GOD we live in the foothills.

And even found a geo cache, is that what's that called?

Baylee is really enjoying the hikes. Especially when she rolls in random poop. Or when she almost gets eaten by a coyote. Always an adventure.

We got a lap-dog!

Ryan taught us how to play poker. Don't mess.

It actually was REALLY fun....

Ryan was mostly worried about my ability to play. Touche and that's deserved.

Humor me kids. Happy Easter! But there is cash in those eggs now, so come on....

Morgan has been having "fire sales" to make some money.... And one item to go was the hoverboard. Aidan has certainly received his money's worth. Constantly on this thing....Ever see someone empty a dishwasher on a hoverboard? It's something!

Boredom leads to some random ideas. This one was "let's ride the greenbelt to Eagle." So we did....

Not sure why the Kearney boys are struggling in these pics, but it's the best we got, so there you have it.

Baylee on the other hand is living the best shelter in place life. Morning sun bathing, 39 walks per day, constant access to her boyfriend/husband Ryan, lots of love from the kids, it's a good life.

Aidan suggested we take a walk. Yep, on the hoverboard.

An early boat trip up to Lucky Peak! Morgan contemplated wakeboarding in the FREEZING water. Instead of actually swimming, she just played police officer stance in the wet suit. Makes sense.

We came home to a baby rattlesnake in our front yard. Not cool.

A Friday afternoon mountain bike ride! (Disregard my party hat helmet). It was supposed to be 2 hours, but ended up being 4, directions are hard.

Best Life Baylee.

Mother's Day Hike! Also directionally challenged but beautiful none-the-less!

Golf courses are OPEN!

Aidan's version of best life. Golfing with his buddy. I have a feeling this view will be multiple times per week until school starts...

Meanwhile, sister was keeping it cool in "home-school."

2020 - Nice start, worried about the finish.....

Another ski season, another cabin in McCall with the Hamilton's! Once again, SUCH fun, but cut way too short.

Aidan and I got to take our ping pong obsession to Valley County in the cabin's neighborhood clubhouse.
Another great ski season in the books!

And our Apres Ski game was strong too....
I can't remember why this picture was taken on a weekday morning, but I remember laughing a lot. Which actually is just a regular day living with mom. What goes through that silly head of her, so many giggles.

It's my only picture of the infamous ski tent, so had to include even if poorly cropped (sorry Molly). So many mimosa, so many snacks, so much fun.... Thanks Hamiltons!
And then our buddy got braces. Ugh, my heart hurts.

Also, heart hurt worthy, my baby boy turning 13. That means I have TWO teenagers. TWO! Not cool universe, not cool at all. Oh but wait, why a bathroom picture? Aidan wanted to go to Dave and Busters pre-birthday and somehow, someway, my TWO teenagers both went into the wrong bathroom. Heart swell, they still need me. But seriously guys, how did you miss these signs?
The 13 year old, gulp.

Ryan and Morgan were in Seattle for a soccer tournament on Aidan's actual birthday, so the celebration was left to me. An unplanned soccer event prevented me from prepping so Winco at 9 p.m. for the fail, or win?
Oh this boy. I try to prepare moms to be about they are going to feel about their baby boys.
Oh this boy.
He's funny, he's serious, he's athletic and kind, he's cautious but adventurous. He's smart, he's silly, he's everything I could ever want in a kid.

He will always be this 3 year old boy in my mind.

More Aidan. He played basketball this year for the first time since kindergarten. So proud of him for doing something outside of his comfort zone. In pure Aidan style, he rocked it.

And thankfully, the 6' 4" was on his team....
