Baking, baking, BAKING!

Sometimes I get really weary about the life of being a food allergy parent. The baking is ENDLESS!!! I mean endless. Every party Morgan goes to, every school or sports celebration (I'm surprised there isn't a party for Groundhog's Day), literally every activity, play date, get together, everything always involves food and that means that we always have to prepare, bring and then hover. And it always seems to happen when there are 52 million other things going on in life and at work. Valentine's Day was no different this year. Another day of staying up late to make sure Ms. Mo-mo's class had treats that Morgan could enjoy.

And then I got to the class and saw this sweet, sweet little pea's beaming face. Yeah, the baking isn't that big of a whoop after all. Whining session over!

*Although wouldn't it be incredible if every time a parent got a food allergy diagnosis that they were handed a Kitchenaid mixer? Seriously, I'm onto something!

We were skiiinnnngggg....

I'm not going to lie, it's been a poor showing of a ski season! Where's the snow?? And is it 40 degrees up there? And why do we keep forgetting important aspects of our ski attire at home, like the key to the rocket box holding the skis. I have no answers for you....But don't think for a second that we still haven't had fun!
These two drive each other bonkers, but I really have no idea what they would do without each other....
Still the human versions of Dash and Bogey
And oh so silly. Morgan's trying to get a picture that doesn't make her forehead look big. I think she's nailed it.
Want your kids to ski fast? Put an iphone in their packet with a skiing tracker app activated. I have never seen Aidan go so fast!
Both of the kids are becoming such great little skiers, it's too fun!
And this girl, oh, this girl. I joked around with her that if she didn't slow down, I would "clip her pass." She tried to tell the same thing to Ryan, but it came out that she was going to "clap his piss." Did you hear her laughing all the way in the Seattle? Then she was reciting that she felt that Hannah Kearney should have won gold in the Olympics. Did you know Hannah Kearney was "stoled" of the gold medal? She laughed so hard, I thought she was going to need her inhaler. Oh this kid.
Two cute red-coated dudes....

A SUPER Super Bowl....

The Kearneys might live in Idaho, but don't think for a second there aren't Seahawks fans to celebrate with! We had a great time with some of our favorite former Seattle-ites celebrating the BIG win!!!
Oh the joys of allergic baking! It was necessary to bake another egg free cake, since the last one we made was certainly the reason why the Hawks made it to the Superbowl in the first place. You are welcome.
Leave it to Kirstin to get Morgan all Hawked up!!!

This is about as costumed as Aidan will get...

Delaney found herself the dinner of champions!

What Superbowl win is complete without a dance party/Morgan jumping on the furniture (sorry Montzs)?
This was right before Jamie started cleaning out her refrigerator and sent us home with literally pounds and pounds of food. Seeing this picture of Ryan, now I get it. She was feeling bad that I have to put up with this guy. Ha, I kid, he's entertaining at least!

Big doings 'round here....

We knew the time would come that we would have to start making choices between activities... And here it is! Morgan had a big gymnastics meet, the same date and time during ski lessons. So we compromised and hit the hill Friday afternoon/evening and made it to the meet Saturday morning are we glad we made that choice!!! First place, all around, Ms. Morgan Kearney. Or "Morga-muffin" as her teammates call her.

*And it's really important to add that Mr. Aidan Kearney skied his first black diamond run yesterday!
There were points in the day that I felt that I might be in a showing of "Toddlers and Tiaras." Lots of sparkles, hair spray and all around pizzazz. Totally my style, right?
At this point, I was getting a little nervous for the little bug...

Morgan's #1 fan, seriously. He told Ryan he wanted to forgo skiing today to see his sister be the "best in the nation!" Love.

Jeepers creepers, look at all these peepers!

The animals were getting restless at this point...
Zoom in, #1 SUPERSTAR!
So proud of this little girl....
Giving a nod to daddy up on the 2nd floor.
Serious business... Way to go Morgan! Your family is so, so, so proud of you.
