And when you are ALMOST SIX....

You should dress any way you please... If that includes a bomber jacket, ski helmut and goggles, well... so be it friends.

Almost SIX....

No one is more shocked than me that almost 6 YEARS AGO !?!?!?, we were blessed with the craziest, silliest and sweetest little boy. I know I've posted it before, but this boy has stolen my heart. He becomes more and more like his daddy every day, which is his biggest aspiration in life, making him all that much more endearing...

At first Aidan said he wanted us to "surprise" him with his birthday gift... Hmmm, hard to do RIGHT after the holidays... Luckily, he asked for a night out with just the family, for pizza and a hockey game. He's having a small get together with some buddies from school on his actual birthday, so it was a treat for us to get a fun night as a foursome! He made this decision 2 hours before game time, only in Boise can a split decision like that result in a fun night out!

Score one for mommy (and daddy) that we don't have to spend too many agonizing hours at Toys R Us trying to find a gift, but the best part of Aidan's gift was when one minute into the game, Aidan looked at me and said, "Never mind, I'm not playing hockey when I grow up." PHEW! Denture budget can pay for college after all...

Wow, great photo skills on my part!

Morgan recreated her BSU football game demeanor and danced the entire game...

But her favorite part was when Gangnam Style came on, the girl didn't miss a beat!

This little photo had to be taken to prove to Aidan's friends that he REALLY did go to a hockey game. Do you see a pattern here? Yep, me too! Every big event for Aidan has to have a similar photo to this one because he is JUST sure that his friends will be in disbelief. Not sure if Aidan has been telling some tall tales to his buddies or if he has the most skeptical friends on earth...

Aidan did his fair share of rooting too! It was such a fun game and such a fantastic night out! Reminding me just how blessed I am...

Dash and Bogey, the human versions....

As I mentioned in a previous post, my children have struck a striking resemblance to my brother's family dogs, Dash and Bogey. They are small, sweet, like to wrestle, have endless pots of energy and are silly, just like these two...

A little love.

I swear, they have their own language.

And... the wrestling...

The snow fort these two have worked on is impressive. But so is their ability to stay out all day in 2 degree weather!

After snow-forting and sledding poses...

'
And silliness...

and some more.

And back to posing. Oh, this girl.

Seattle trip!!

We had a loooonnnggg, action pack and fun filled week long trip to Seattle after the holidays. We had a wedding to attend New Years Eve and decided to fit in just about every person we are related to and then some! This led to us sleeping in a different bed every night. Luckily, our kids are the definition of troopers. Not one melt-down in sight!

Maybe the new DS's that Santa brought helped out in the melt down department. We stayed at the greatest cabin in Suncadia, ladders everywhere leading to fun playrooms and a bunk room that slept more people that I can count...

Musical beds led to sleepy and lazy mornings!

But Miller and Ryan were able to hypothesize about the meaning of life over breakfast. Once again, laziness struck and not many pictures were taken during our Fosseen/Kearney time!! Darn it.

Then we headed to my parent's house to spend some time with the Fosters!

Clothing optional... Yes, Evelyn fits riiiggghhhttt in with this crew.

She might be the cutest thing on earth. I know, I am biased.

Cute faces Kearney kids. Look Split Rail made to Western Washington!

Some snuggle time with Uncle Ryan.

And some harassment time for Uncle Ty.

Grandma time!

My baby brother and I with our offspring.

We also had a graveside memorial for Papa Bob. Our big celebration of his life will happen in March, but it was good to have some closure.

A huge thank you to Jon and Heather for planning.

Darling grandma reading cards from the kids...

Great grandkids! What a legacy left behind... And what a gaping hole in our lives.

Posing with their cards to Papa Bob, letting him know just how much he is missed...

*Family*

Could these two look any more similar? The conversations overheard between these two are PRICELESS...

We decided to play tourist and hit the Space Needle.

What a gorgeous day we picked!

Squinting in Seattle? Is that possible?

Nothing beats a beautiful day in Seattle, nothing!

Boise kids in the big city. What to do, what to do?

I see a theme here!

Aidan and Ryan spent many a hour putting together legos over the holiday season... What a dad!

Next up, it was time for Chris Adam's wedding on New Years Eve. Hands down one of the best weddings! It was an event. So much fun that I couldn't take a non-blurry photo.

Tommy and Ryan, reunited. Still sad Deborah couldn't make it, but looking forward to seeing our favorite Cleveland-ites SOON (hopefully!)

And then it was back for another stay at the Fosters. Hot tubs right outside your living room=brilliant. So much fun for us adults to get to catch up, while the littles played their hearts out. Also brilliant to have an older niece who can be in charge.

Bathing suit at dinner in winter? Of course! My brother's family lives on a lake, so that it's explains it... It was below freezing so one would assume there was no swimming in the lake, right? Nope, you'd be wrong!

Oh little Dash, how I love him and his brother! So much so, I have lovingly nicknamed my children Dash and Bogey. Morgan and Aidan are going through this phase of constant wrestling, hyperactivity and overall silliness, akin to their namesakes Dash and Bogey.

The fruits of daddy and Aidan's labor at Grandma Dolly's house!

Whew, back from Seattle. I'm pooped just thinking about that trip!
