Country Roads….

Last year, we hit the mountains after Vegas adventures. The fresh air, the processed meat and beer drinking was good for the soul. So we did it again!

Bigg Pigg. She's going to get quite a work out this summer….
Oh Payette River, you never disappoint!!!
A sun kissed boy on a beautiful beach. Priceless!

Fisherman Ryan reporting to duty. Meanwhile, bad-mitton extravaganza was underway.

This girl provided lots of campfire entertainment, lots of it.
Sometimes you just have to embrace your genetic abnormalities. Long tongues are a sign of intelligence, you know?
We took to calling Morgan "Sporty Spice." She even has the moves…
C'mon kid's clothing manufacturers, make the thumb hole!!! This is a Coug sweatshirt though, they are always several decades behind. OOOOOHHH burn.
Sporty, her dad and an elderly dog.
Handsome camper. You come here often?

Only the finest dining for the Kearneys. Please note the sign above the dogs cooking. For some reason, that really made me giggle. Of course I smell gas, we are eating hot dogs for EVERY meal! And chips! And junk!
 AHHHH, that love bug.
And that photo bomber. THIS picture tells you everything you need to know about Morgan.
I can't even stand how hard Morgan makes me laugh. I may be creating a monster.
But you know who is really creating the monster? My husband! Poor future Morgan's husband…. How in the world is he going to live up to Ryan? I feel for you guy. It's such a big act to follow…
Favorite part of camping! Campfires and s'mores.
 Practicing his shot.

Until next time Idaho wilderness….

Mema/Papa Fun!!!!

Mema and Papa are always such GOOD sports about us sneaking away. While we were in Vegas, they were busy making a 500 square foot tent city. The kids slept in it the entire we were gone… It was pretty impressive!

After getting back, it was time to christen Dolly's pool….

And to get some back scratches!

Mema and Papa stayed until Wednesday so they could see Aidan's lacrosse game. Little man had an awesome game and he had one proud set of grandparents!
The sideline entertainment wasn't too bad either… A little electric slide tutorial. Which is good, because all these years later and I have NEVER figured that thing out.

No pictures of Aidan's game equals a mommy fail… But this. This is the face of a little gal who made competitive soccer for next year! Time intensity will go up a notch, but I have to say, I'm pretty proud of hard this little girl has worked!

Vegas Vagabonds, Part 3….

The legend continues… Year Three of hitting the Nevada sunshine for laughs, cocktails and adventures for Memorial Day Weekend. Three nights, no kids, fantastic friends? Yes please!

Every trip needs to start with proper provisions…

Meanwhile, Ryan relaxed poolside since he came a day early to entertain some clients.

The ladies, ready for a big night out in Henderson. We skipped the strip this year altogether, which ended up being the best choice we have ever made. (Actually, that's not saying much, we aren't known for our stellar choice making when we are out and about).
Most random decor ever. Yet, I still dream of that meal. I'm certain it had a mere 23,000 calories, but it was 23,000 calories well spent.
Tripadvisor told us that this was the #1 rated restaurant and I think food-wise they were right. Decor wise, well…. Let's talk about that….
But if you like nautical/french/jazz lounge scene, then my friend, you are in luck!
With this cast of characters though, we prefer the oddities in life.

I think this picture tells you most of what you need to know about this trip….

Marjorie steals the show. That girl loves her cross-fit….

Aw jeez, despite my best efforts to keep these pics in order, it's just not going to happen. It's a Monday people. Anyway, we're going to jump around here! Saturday night, it was a sunset cruise on Lake Las Vegas. Jed was home with the Glavin's son, so I had to get some photos of his darling Laura to make sure he didn't feel left out… I'm certain he appreciated it.
The poor, poor residents on the lake…
Again, can these trips have more random moments. A quick stop at a floating stage that was docked, led to a quick workout for Molly. Atta girl.
A beach! In Nevada! It's a miracle. So weird that they are having a drought.

Speaking of 23,000 calories. Marjorie cooks for us like a mad woman. It's insane really. And I gobble up every bite like I've never seen food.
 A bro-mance on the boat.
And….. now we are back at the Fiesta! If you've never been to the Fiesta, I'd say you are missing out (and then my nose would grow). BUT, if you have never been to the Fiesta with this crew? Then yes, you ARE missing out. There was dancin' and singin' and chaos galore.

And…. now we are back at dinner! This blog is like a time machine. The Kearneys enjoy a good group photo op.

And… back to pool time. Priorities mean cooler rides shotgun.

If you have never seen semi-pro line dancers, then again, you have probably never been to the Fiesta. These ladies are LEGIT. However, they aren't fans of Molly, Heather and I. That much was clear….
Despite our best efforts to engage them, they stayed strong and stayed away.
That's okay, we consoled ourselves with our friend, Fireball.
 And… back to the boat!
The boat bromance grew and grew….

I thought the restaurant decor could use a little more randomness, so red solo cup was revealed….
Super stealth photo pop of the lady in the background singing. Was she wearing a pleather/rubber dress? Yes, I do believe so.

Good bye Fiesta and good bye Lake Las Vegas. Until we meet again!
