And then it was Family Picture Time!

Lucky for us, Aidan's best friend at school has an incredibly talented mom.... And she was willing to squeeze us in AND our family adores her. Which means, "mean mommy" didn't have to threaten no Christmas presents in the event of non-smiling (kids) and no threats of sleeping on the couch if non-smiling (Ryan). And even though we literally went from soccer game to pictures, I'd say they turned out pretty great!

I told Gina that this picture completely captured our family. Morgan and I laughing hard at who knows what, Aidan looking at us like we've lost our minds and Ryan playing with his wedding ring, thinking, "Who are these weirdos?"

I love, love, love this. This is so Aidan and Morgan. Such a sweet little friendship they have (most days).

Be still, my heart. My baby boy, not looking very baby.
And 14 year old Morgan, fresh off the soccer field. This girl, someday, I'm going to be just like her.

Still laughing, 19 years later. 19 years, gulp!

Is there a picture anywhere that does this kid anymore justice?

Once again, captured us!

Grateful for these people. Never in my wildest dreams did I think I would get so lucky to live this kind of life. 16 year old Sarah would be proud....

And that's a wrap October!

And thank God. October was bonkers. Lots of fun, but so much going on!

Morgan and I travelled to Seattle to attend my grandfather's funeral. A wonderful celebration of life and so great to see family and friends... So wonderful in fact, the pictures are limited. But I did enjoy lots of lovely lake views from family homes!
And our budding photog looks some great pics of Mike Reindeer aka Mount Rainier.
And then it was time for the hippy and Kiss band member (Luke) to hit Boo Bash at school!
And then it was off to LA for a Spartan Race.  I know, what was I thinking?? But fun was had, cocktails were drank and I didn't break a bone, win!
 Champagne breakfast of champions...
And a super romantic pre-race picnic.

Before swimming through mud, climbing walls and doing all sorts of weird things in the name of fun? Exercise? I don't know. But it was a great race, completely out of my comfort zone and with these girls, I'd easily do it all again!
 A little dirty post race.
 Back to pre-race.
 So fresh and so clean.
Photos out of order, but whatev. This is the look of happiness the mud portion of our weekend is over!  Followed by a drink at Chateau Marmont and some good eats on the Sunset Strip. We are practically local West Hollywoodans.

 Back to post race.

Feeling very Mad Max-ian at this point. The amount of dirt, oy! I trained to do a lot of burpees, but in the mud? And dust? And on inclines? Oh no I didn't.
Before 1,342nd trip to CVS. I seriously am not exaggerating. But we had a dr. on board, so we had all medical bases covered-ish

And then back to Boise. To spend some time with the world's first Hu-og. Half human, half dog.
Some may say this little hippy is too old to trick to treat. Apparently, they haven't seen the loot this kid scored. Seriously, I'll be eating candy all day, everyday for a while. Thank you Hippy.
And our other hippy decided that a Kiss band of three just won't cut it. So Aidan switched gears and here he is.... His loot wasn't as great, but we forgive him.

Fall, cont.

Ryan and I managed to sneak away from the endless sports games/practices to an Avett Brothers Concert. They did not disappoint!

I had the following day off, so my niece and I took a hike. Fast forward two years, Noelle is the stick figure/freshman at BSU. The hard sell is on!
What? Then more volleyball? Weird!
After volleyball, it was pizza out and Teton Gravity Film Festival.
And then guess what? More volleyball! This time an all day tournament at a high school. It was single elimination, but the girls kept winning! Second place finish!
Aidan came by after his soccer game to cheer on big sister.

Baylee has been feeling  a little left out of the activity, so she attempted to become Morgan's second skin.
This has never happened. Morgan doesn't ever fall asleep anywhere besides her bed and after laying there for hours. But looky here. She is proving my theory that a tired teen is a good teen. And tired she is.
Back to regular school play!
And then Gem State Tournament! Where we saw every type of weather, except snow.

Twinning.
Aidan's team won the championships, only having one goal scored on them the entire tournament!

Oh these boys! They play so hard and with so much heart.

And then Morgan's turn to shine! The girls made it to the championship, but unfortunately lost in the final game. It was one of those games where you are almost certain there is a forcefield over the goal.
Morgan and Ella, captains!
So proud of our girl!

A great group of girls!!!
