Easter 2014!

Another fun Kearney holiday is down in the books. Nothing says celebrating the resurrection of Jesus like fighting like a mad man for candy. Seriously, where do we get this stuff?
2nd Annual Sage International Class of 2025 Candy Bonanza and the Kearney kids are ready!
Poor guy searched so hard. Little did he know his mom and dad were just going to eat all of it once he went to bed that night....
And this poor pumpkin couldn't eat any of it, but she shared it with all the other kids like the champ she is...
I'm sure the kids' soccer coaches were pleased we completely wore them out before their games!

Sunday morning meant picking up the loot the bunny left at our house!

Then we cruised downtown on our bikes and had church outside! What a gorgeous day and what a treat....

We capped a great day off with an unexpected but pleasantly surprising house guest. Our dear friend Karen's sewer line wasn't cooperating and she had to spend the night where there was some indoor plumbing. Ryan fixed her up a real nice apple juice martini and all was good in the world (word to the wise, the martini is a joke from way back, but makes us giggle every time).

Happy Easter to all!

LAX

As I was snapping this really embarrassingly poor shot, I had a couple of realizations watching my previously (but secretly always) baby boy on the lacrosse field. 1) This is what it feels like to have your heart outside of your body and 2) What do I do to make sure Aidan loves lacrosse? Because this MOMMA IS HOOKED!

Fl, Flor, FLORIDA!

Because one fantastic vacation just wasn't enough.... Mr. RPK won his sales awards trip AGAIN! And I happily tagged along. What's better than a free vacation? Nothing.

Many a hour was spent waking up and drinking coffee on this patio. Six days after getting back from Hawaii, Ryan and I boarded a plane to head to Marco Island, Florida for a week of celebrating Ryan's success!
The company was ridiculously spoiling this trip and I enjoyed every.single.second. Room service every morning? Yes, please!
If you recall, we were the "team building champs" last year. Let's just say, it wasn't a pretty sight this year. Sadly, Ryan didn't have a medal to wear to the awards dinner....
In true blog fashion, the pictures are a tad out of order. But I'm still digesting all the food and beverages from our three weeks of gluttony and all my mental energy is tapped doing that. Anyway, I digress, we had a beautiful awards dinner!
Post awards dinner we had the most ridiculously fantastic dessert and after party. The steam in this shot is from the dessert. Let's just say, I was thankful for spanx. Seriously, I would have ripped my dress without the extra help.
This little martini luge and I are now best friends forever. That wasn't what I was saying the next day, but that night, she and I were tight!
 Resort views...
I'm not going to lie, there were times sitting by the pool that I thought we might be a swanky mafia movie. The people watching was fabulous.
Sunset turns to night walk on the beach!

None of my pictures do this place justice, absolutely beautiful. What we don't have any pictures of was the wave runner tour of the 10,000 islands in the everglades. We rode with dolphins and had such a great time! And I didn't wreck as Ryan desperately feared... Oh yea of little faith.
Coastline from one of my post-glutton indulgence walks. Drinking a 1000 calorie pina colada is easily burned off in a 15 walk stroll, right? Right?
So proud of this big lug....

Okay, okay, I completely acknowledge this horrible picture taking at it's worst. But when you feel pregnant with a food and cocktail baby, all bets are off. And Ryan refused to pose post-award receiving...So there you have it!
Always a beautiful candle-lit dinner. Love it.
Post awards sunset-turns-to-night stroll turns into cocktail drinking and sitting on a white sandy beach. If I'm missing, check Marco Island, I may have escaped back there...

Last time this name will be etched anywhere, sniff sniff. The co. is currently in the process of a merger. I know ALL about it, thanks to all my educated discussions with the other 60 winners....
 Last day.

What a beautiful city, lovely resort, amazing hospitality and not a bad guy to spend the week with!

Spring Break 2014, cont.

When Ryan isn't working and making himself a top salesman in the NATION sending us to Florida on ANOTHER awards trip (more to come), coaching soccer teams, playing taxi driver to our children with me and on and on, he's busy making videos to capture our crazy life. I don't play the lottery people, I already won it when I snagged this guy.

Enjoy this little gem!

Kauai or Bust!!!!

We just got back from the most relaxing and fun vacation…. My heart swells thinking about all of the quality family time we had…Simply the BEST!
No trip is complete without the plane shot….

Tired girls on an early morning flight!

Aidan was READY to party when we landed in Kauai. However, the car trip to the condo was a little much and this little trooper was pooped. This was minutes after he said that the song for the day in his mind is "This is the best day of my life."

View from our lanai. Not bad, not bad at all.

We had the most gorgeous sunsets.

I took this picture and sent it to Ryan with the caption, "I'm watching you." He said I shouldn't do stuff like that because it proves I'm weird. And?

We spent one day traveling up North to Hanalei Bay, where we stayed 10 years ago with the Kearney family. 10 year ago? We are getting old...

Aidan was happy to dig holes on whatever beach he could find.

That is one kissable face.

Okay, so the photos are out of order. Brenneke Beach was literally a half of a block walk from the door of our condo… And we were literally here for every second waking second (when we were snorkeling at Poipu Beach or in the pool). Morgan of course had to practice front flips on the beach.

And of course Aidan had to get in on the action!

So there was some wrassling.

Beach bunnies.

There were a lot of uno championships. We determined the "the best" player, the "world's best player," the "master of the universe player," the "best player known to man," you get the picture, there were a lot of uno games played.

There were awards for goofiest too...

I don't know if you can make out who Ryan and Morgan, but hours and hours were spent by Morgan figuring out the art of diving into a wave. I think she mastered it!

Another out of order photo. This is what we do during a four hour delay heading home. Starbucks!

Saying good bye to paradise….

And this is the look of a boy who went to bed at 3:00 a.m. and is now heading back to Boise. Not happy but incredibly messy hair.

And here we are back on the beach! Boogie Boarding was a staple!

So was burying people.

If you want a good giggle, put the kids in a pool with snorkels on and listen to them sing and talk. Little did they know they were putting on a show for every person at the pool that evening!

Morgan and I entertained ourselves quite nicely on the drive up North. Meanwhile, Ryan and Aidan were threatening to hitch hike to try to avoid our banter.

Hard to believe that 10 years ago, I stood on THIS beach, in THIS exact same spot, with THIS girl safely in my belly. Oh wow, how time has flown!

Leave it to Ryan to find the one rope swing on the island.

Our boys.

Who is this girl and what did she do with my baby?

A magical vacation, memories created! Loved every second of it, until next time Kauai!!!
