Not to be forgotten...

Poor Aidan has been left out of the past couple of posts, but don't worry, he's keeping busy. The life of a boy is a busy one, there are a lot of guns to be made out of objects that are also known as common household objects (i.e. spoons) and with spring here, there are a lot of diggers to be oogled. Big A-man starts preschool on Wednesday. Wish us luck!

Movie time with two of his favorite peeps. Why yes, that is a Homer Simpson sleeping bag, because really, why not?

Praying that a digger would show up outside of his house, with his name on it.

Just eating a little something-something in an old school Red Sox hat...
Fortunately for Morgan, she managed to avoid my klutz genes and is able to not only consistently put one foot in front of the other without an embarrassing fall, but she can tumble at gymnastics with the best of them. Here's a little video from her latest show...

I do wonder if there will ever be a performance when I don't get a little lump in my throat before one of these little shows?

Preschool Graduation...

Like all good things must, our run at Garabatos preschool has come to an end. Morgan has spent three incredible years there. Not only has she been immersed (literally) in Spanish, but she's learned so much about nature, science, math and art. We are so glad we found this little school, and sadly, last Friday was our end of the year celebration. It's hard to believe that three years ago, when I used to drop Morgan off for her twice a week, 3 hour class, she was as shy and intimidated as can be... My how things have changed and I can't wait for the 13 years of school memories to be made!!!

The graduate all ready for a big celebration...

Mommy and Aidan are excited to celebrate too!

It's official. Kindergarten here we come!

Hugging Ms. Veronica. Teacher extraordinaire. What a special school she has started!

Doing a little diddy in some traditional dress... I am going to miss all of the special celebrations at Garabatos, especially the food!

Ole!

LOVE it when preschoolers belt out their tunes!

My buddy, my buddy, where-ever she goes, I'm gonna go...

It's rare to see Morgan and not see Aidan as close to her as possible. Buddies. I love it.

It ain't easy being a fashionista....

But Aidan is up for the challenge. Lately, we have been seeing a lot of the dragon costume, it's made appearances during random play time around the house, but Aidan has been taking his fashion-savy style to Morgan's gymnastic's class as well. Our favorite new piece of "flair" is compliments of a hand-me-down from Cody, Aidan's cousin. Cody handed down a pair of "dress" shoes or "church" shoes as Aidan lovingly refers to them. Yes, I say lovingly because we can't get the things off of him! He wore them all day yesterday (with basketball shorts, no socks) and then surprise, he put them on first thing this morning with his pajamas.

Dragon costumes double as great rain-slickers. That cotton didn't absorb any of the rain (insert sarcasm).

Where's the catwalk? Aidan's got some stuff to strut in these "church" shoes... He's also working on his "tough" look. Not an easy thing to do in "church" shoes, but I think he's mastering it nicely.

SOLD!!!!!!! (well, tomorrow anyway!)

Tomorrow at 11 a.m. we'll be signing on the dotted line to buy our new home. Ryan and I have realized we aren't very good at NOT owning a home, it's BORING! We need house projects and we need a yard to take care of, otherwise we get a bit stir-crazy. We're thrilled about this next chapter in our lives... Plus, did I mention that I am excited to have an office? Yes, I am currently sitting on our kitchen garbage can while the computer is on the kitchen counter...

Happy Kearney Ladies standing by a crooked sign! Yes, we have been stalking the house. I told you we have been bored!

Aidan's best "mom leave me alone" face... Teenage years are going to be a piece of cake for this kid, he's got the "angst" down pat.

She is queen of the rock!

We live by another reserve! This one is across the street... I have a feeling the kids are going to spend a lot of time over there, the bonus is that on the other side of the reserve is a park with playground equipment. Wahoo!

View from the reserve...

Why do I feel like I've forgotten something??

If I could guess what goes through Aidan's mind, it would be something like this...

"Great day for a bike ride folks! Boy this spring sure has been breezy, good thing I put on my 'digger boots.'"

"Why are you taking my picture mom? Nothing to see here, just a boy having some fun. Have you ever felt like you've forgotten a key article of clothing?"

"Yeah, me neither. I always remember the important things. People who have those dreams where they forget to wear their pants are weird. Who does that anyway? Okay, off to cruise the neighborhood. I think I must be a really good bike rider because people just stare and stare at me..."
