Lummi Island

I have to admit, the day after neighborhood fire extravaganza, I was happy to board a plane to mild Western Washington weather...
These pictures are exactly backwards, but what's a girl to do? There is nothing better than cousin time on a dock. Oh wait, yes there is... This backyard. The Foster's vacation backyard is quite breathtaking...

Oh Max. We could snuggle with this boy for days on end... And we did!

I often times see my brother in Aidan's face. Yep, there's a resemblance!

And these two. Seriously, could they look more like twins? They don't see it, but the rest of the world sure does. Such sweet buddies.

So many games, so little time. And that view from the front yard? Stunning.

UW mask taped beer. Don't ask.

So, so tired from so much fun.

Lummi Island highlight #1, riding around in the back of a truck. Island living for the win!

We're on a boat! Cruising through the San Juans... Porpoises greeted us, as did seals. Incredibly cool.

Hope for the future. Dancing machines!

If you are looking for Max, look for Aidan. You'll find him there. Oh how I love that boy (and his sisters!)

Legos in the back of the truck? Yes, please!

Hiking on the beach was a hit...

Idaho kids get especially excited about sea-life...

Prior to venturing up north, we met up with Mema and Papa for some high flying fun. It ended up being a little more complicated that I envisioned, but the Kearney kids did great!

We even got some Lake Washington beach time at Mema and Papas! Mema and her boy, so sweet!

Jon is resting up to ride the Tour de France again... I think Morgan will be there in spirit. Creeper!

These two.

Annnddd, again with the ifly.

That's our girl!

For some reason the rental car agency let us pick whatever car we wanted. So many choices... And the kids picked this!

Super, duper excited at 6 a.m.

And we flew over Mike Reindeer on the anniversary of the "big climb!" Glad that's over with!

We have some budding photogs in the fam....

'Murica. Happy Fourth from the Kearneys! From the looks we got while cruising in the Charger, Ryan commented, "I don't think people like you in this car." Apparently, I didn't look as "cool" as I thought I did. Regardless, a fantastic weekend, filled with such great fun!

"A fire in them thar hills"

Anyone who has been within a 10 foot radius of me the past week has heard that our neighborhood caught on fire... Resulting in an evacuation that led to 2500 plus acres burning and the Kearneys slept through it. Yep, slept right through it... I wish so much that neighbors were around to see my face as I ran out of my front door, complete in pjs, looking at my phone wondering why so many people were "worried" about us and my resulting shout of "S*&T!!!!!!"
The view from our house, taken by a neighbor. They packed their computer hard drives and important documents. When I woke to the neighborhood having long ago evacuating, I packed snacks, epi pens and my swim suit. Priorities.

Look at that fire line.

It may take a while for this lot to sell now. I'm no realtor, but....

Our new view...

Our other neighbors took a pic of this neighbors house. Unreal. Only one house was lost. Feeling insanely thankful for brave firefighters, their quick response and great efforts...

Silver Creek Plunge!

The Kearneys do love a good hot spring, so it was time to pack up the Big Pigg and take 'er out to Garden Valley for some camping fun...
Hot springing!

These two... This was right before I realized Morgan was eating a really cross contaminated ice cream bar. I didn't tell her and was the creepy mom following her around with an epi-pen.

On the way up camping, we witnessed a roll over. While camping, witnessed what happens when alcohol and 4 wheelers collide (literally). But the Kearney kids (and parents) were wowed by Life Flight.

The nerds in the pink inner tubes are with me.

And on the way home, we were re-routed due to a fatal motorcycle accident. The woods are dangerous, be safe people!

Summa Time!

Summer time is my most absolutely favorite season... And this one is not disappointing. If only I could make the time slow dowwwwwnnnnn....
It's just too bad our kids don't like Baylee. No pictures of her or love at all...

Spoiled is an understatement!

Okay, so this isn't summer related, but Aidan's almost last day of school. He worked so, so hard on his "market items" and his teacher could tell he was pretty proud of his display. She sent me this picture and then my heart EXPLODED.

And I found this in his journal. Best weekend EVER! Oh this boy.

And our youngest babe. Don't worry, those foothills no longer look like that... Since they burned down while the Kearneys slept. I digress, more on that later.

Since our gaggle of friends didn't tear up the Vegas night life this year, we took the families to beautiful Stanley. You know those weekends where you are reminded you have incredibly fun friends? Yep, it was one of those!

These kids!!! So glad I get to watch them grow up.....

And the view from our cabins. Too bad Idaho is so ugly.

Have you seen the new "Vacation" movie? Where they bathe in hot springs that are actually sewage? Um yeah.

And more of that. #goodparenting

But the view!

Redfish Lake, seriously, does it get prettier?

He's acting how I felt after a fun evening of fun with my friends.... And beverages.

These two were the highlight of my weekend. Boone + Drew=more funny stories than I can even relate.

Of course she went paddle-boarding!

And took her dog!

I don't these kids even realize how unreal this backdrop is.... So lucky to live near the Sawtooths!

Another great weekend with really amazing friends! Long live summer 2016!
