Lucky Peaking Camping...

What do you do when it's 100 degrees? Hit the lake of course! We had such a fun weekend camping up at Lucky Peak and I think we might have spent more time in the water than out... I'm sad to say that I don't have a picture of the BIGGEST part of the trip, Morgan water skiing! Not only water-skiing, but one handed, back and forth in the wake and waving at everyone who went by her! I promise to get pictures of it next time, her smile was a mile wide...

As we were getting ready to go, Aidan slapped on the hand-me-down reusable swim diaper we inherited from the Fosseen's and announced he was ready for the beach. He said I could take a picture of his outfit if I promised not show anyone this picture. Well, mommy's a liar, sorry kid, I can't help myself. When he got to the lake, he got really embarrassed that he was pantless. Well, sorry kid, but technically, you kind of were. I love this kid, his entertainment is priceless.

Jumping, jumping, jumping. A collective sigh of relief was released from Ryan and I when the Bordners came on Saturday. We are not nearly as fun (or energetic) as her buddy Ryder. And if I had to answer one more question, I think my tongue was going fall out of my mouth from the constant "answering" I had to do!
And Aidan has mastered the art of jumping off the boat. When he showed Ryder, he got a "good job buddy." That just about made his year!
A quick moment of Morgan not talking... Don't worry, it was a really quick moment.
Aidan, on the other hand, enjoys a little contemplative time. You know, time to think about what outfit he can put together or what costume he'd like to throw on.

And there was lots and lots and lots of inner-tubing. This certainly won't be our last weekend excursion to the lake!

Sun Valley!

A couple of weeks ago, we had a very special treat... Seeing Kelsey and family in Sun Valley! Kelsey is responsible for letting me know where Idaho was on the map, with our spring break fun in this town. We had so much fun seeing them and Kelsey's boys confirmed for me once again, there is nothing cuter than a little boy with a Southern drawl.

Daddy and Aidan on quite possibly the best little putting green in the world. The kids could have played for days and days...
Janelle, Kelsey and me!
And the gaggle o' kids! Great times and we're counting down until we get to see this fantastic family again!

Big boy stuff...

Aidan has joined the ranks of the big boy! Yep folks, he's cruising the town on two wheels without training wheels. Very exciting business!

Aidan and I spent about 2 hours at the nearby school, while big sister was at Art Camp. Over and over, I could hear a little voice, "I can't believe I am doing this!" Of course, we had to celebrate with a cookie (for Aidan) and a latte (for Mom) over at Bown's Crossing. Any excuse to get my fix!

Such a happy little bike riding boy!

They say it's my birthday....

I had two such special treats for my birthday!!! One was having my grandparents in town to help celebrate and the other, going to see Lyle Lovett! Lyle was playing just a short bike ride from our house and we were treated to the concert, compliments of the Bordners!

Ahh Lyle, you didn't disappoint!
And neither did Dolly. Why wouldn't you ride the plasma scooter when you are 80? I've got a lot to live up to!

Oh Stanley!

After the Headlee's left, we loaded up our friend's camper and headed to Stanley! Stanley just might be the prettiest place in Idaho and this trip did not disappoint!

AND Morgan lost her FIRST tooth! To say she was excited would be a massive understatement. Sorry to all of the random passerby's who have been barraged with detailed information about this event!

Redfish Lake... Gorgeous!

See, it's not always me who does crazy things to get the kids' attention...

Stanley has a high elevation and with the cold spring we have had, the lake wasn't the best place to take a dip. So we took the kids to the boat box! It's a hot spring on the side of the river that you can moderate the temperature with hot spring and river water. Last time we were here, I was delirious and had just run a marathon. This time was a little different and I wasn't busy finding a tree to upchuck behind. So let's just say, the boat box is better when you haven't jogged 26 miles.
Hiking with dad to the hot spring. Aidan thinks that the sun rises and sets on his daddy. Pretty cute.
I heart you Redfish Lake, I really, really do!
Aidan has become quite the little helper, but still hates getting recognition. Here he is shouting, "NOOOOOO!" to my capturing him in action.
The view from our camping spot. It's just lovely there!

Headlee Time!

The anxiety of what I am going to get the grandparents for Christmas if I don't start blogging again is forcing me to sit my rear down and get to it!

We've had such a great summer and of course, one of the best parts was having the Headlee's in town from Ohio! Their family is so special to us and when we all get together (Bordners/Kearneys/Headlees), I'm sure the laughter can be heard from miles away...

It's really hard to believe that it used to be the six of us spending time together... And the crew will be getting bigger in January!!! (No, this is not a Kearney announcement of a bun in the oven!) Congratulations to the Bordners!!!
Ryan taught Kiara how to drive the boat. Idaho style apparently, with a Natty Light in hand. We're keeping it classy around here!
These girls had FUN together! There was more giggling than sleeping going on in Morgan's room!
Sprinkler time in our backyard...

And a little butterfly exhibit time at the Boise Zoo. Deborah and I laughed a lot, with this crazy crew of two 4 1/2 year olds, 2 almost 7 year olds (gasp!), and a baby in tow.

We're missing the Headlee's already! For some better pictures, go here!

Jonny T.!

I know, I know... I haven't blogged in a while and to be honest, the forecast is not promising besides this entry. Too much summer fun to lock me inside to update. BUT, I did want to show off what my big brother is up to! If you know me, you know I adore my brother (as well as Heather and the kids!), so you can imagine how in awe I am about his latest adventure. Biking the Tour de France route. He's currently there, riding his heart out, literally. He's blogging about the adventure here. http://jontfoster.tumblr.com/

So ALLEZ, ALLEZ, ALLEZ to my big brother and safe travels!!
