Catching up with summer 2016!

How this summer came to an end is beyond me... World's fastest. Proving the saying, "Time flies when you are having fun" is so, so true!

In the midst of two kids in flag football, one kid in competitive soccer and the other kid in select soccer and then the rest of end of the school year shenanigans, Ryan made sure we booked an "adults only" vacation.

Maui 2016 did not disappoint, neither did the view from our condo.

We even exercised.

And in true "Sarah blogging style" we're a little out of order here... But at least it's happening folks! Baylee and I. Good God we love this sweet pea.
And she's a water dog. So lots and lots of trips to the river for her to cool off!
And for this girl to cool off too.
Aidan's studio. Aidan is making lots of Lego Movies these days. Mark my words people, his name will be in lights some day. Regardless of what the future holds, I love this sweet kid's work ethic!
And Phil. Meet Phil. Phil the duck was befriended during another great summer nanny share with the Glavins!
He was loved.
And doted on...  And then he died. As in 5 minutes after this photo was taken. Phil Kearney-Glavin, RIP, July 15, 2016 - July 20, 2016. It was a short but beautiful life.
Summer in Idaho means concert at the Botanical Gardens!
Josh Ritter!
But JJ Grey and Mofro stole the show... (And Karen!)

Baylee and her boy.
Momma and her girl!
Summer also means a fun trip to the Hamilton McCall Beach. Such fun!

Dolly threw a luau to send us off to Maui.
It was quite the party!
If you don't take your photo on a plane, then it's almost like it never happened. Obligatory early morning flight.
This. This my friends is brilliance. Mema waits at the end of security, Mom and Dad see the chidlin's off and then off to board a flight to paradise. All without having to deal with Seattle security. Thank you, thank you, yes, I'd like to accept to the world's most brilliant person award.
Success!
Aunt Karen. She's a super hero. Fantastic friend and dog sitter extraordinaire.
Goodness, this view is killing me. This is from the front deck.
And view from the back. Take me back!
What's that I spy? Dolly and Bob's beach!
In front of our condo had amazing snorkeling, complete with sea turtles. So much fun until my overactive Jaws theme song imagination started playing.
And exercising. Wow, we are good. Kidding, this was a 5 minute walk. But notice the backpack, don't we look official?
And the kids had beyond a blast with family in Seattle! Win-win!
And then we really did go for a hike. Which Ryan complained about the whole time. But seriously, at 500 calories a fruity beverage times wait, I don't want to admit how many fruity beverages, trust me a lot of calories were consumed...
And somehow we hiked to Eastern Washington. What's with all the pine trees?
Imagine us in this spot times seven days. That equals heaven! So much ocean swimming, it was beyond.
Working on that rich Irish tan....

Meanwhile, Capt. Foster was cruising the kids in his new float boat. Yep, my first grade nephew has his own float boat. That's how he rolls people.
And a deep lake dive find from the soccer duo.
And a perfected back flip-ish!

We are such suckers for kids and dogs when we aren't responsible for them...
Mean mugging.
That sunset. Seriously, someone get me an award for finding the best condo ever.

So good at selfies, just can't stand it. Last day pic from lanai. Happy to get to our kids, but secretly plotting ways to never leave.
Back to Seattle for Seafair!
Gray skies, blue angels. Seattle!
So, so tired from a long and fun week!
And so, so happy to get back to this girl!

Summer in Idaho isn't complete without boat time!
Dabbing and Mo and AJ. These two make everything an adventure!

Summer.... Looking forward to seeing you again soon!
