Aidan's Turn!

Aidan had his turn this weekend and played in his first competitive tournament. It's been a little intimidating playing with a whole new team of boys, but by the end of the tournament, we started to see that tenacious little guy we have come to know and love. He had some great plays and we were so, so proud of him. He works so hard and it's paying off!
Of course I'm biased, but I think this is a pretty incredible group of kids! So talented and hard working!
Looking forward to many more of years of cheering on 2007 RUID!

Did someone say Disneyland???

Aidan has been talking about and BEGGING, I mean, BEGGING to go to Disneyland for quite a while. Ryan loves crowds and parades, so we knew this would be a good fit, ha! He was a trooper and we are very proud of him! Anyway, after Aidan's last soccer game, we put the tickets in the dishwasher, demanded Aidan unload it and then made them pack their bags as soon as they could and we were off!

Our last day there, after Ryan had left for work in Las Vegas, the kids and I hit Huntington Beach and had a blast!
Beach bunnies!
Anyone want a wrap? Who wants a wrap? Wrap making station created in hotel room after 14 hours of walking, walking, walking....
Yes, yes, I DID beat the whole family at Astro Blasters.
This picture will always crack me up. We asked a lady, who was taking pictures of her child to take our picture. She said no. WHO SAYS NO? Seriously? No? We are in Disneyland weirdo. Luckily, another woman witnessed that and came to our rescue and took our picture. Kids, don't turn out like the first lady, be the second lady.

He's happy, I swear! Aidan beamed the entire trip.
A little swingin' around Disney. Not pictured is the 5 billion times the Kearneys rode California Screaming. Turns out we like rollercoasters!
And my baby brother and family were there! Second surprise! Apparently great minds think alike and this was a surprise for all of us. Winning dad of the year award is my brother wearing his daughter's backpack, covered in cats with the statement, "Cats are everything." Yes, Ty, they are.
A little space mountain and Star Wars to start out the fun!
This kid.

Morgan got pulled into a street performance.
California Adventure was my favorite and not just because of the beer stands. Beer stands? Yes, it was a game changer!

These two!

We loved Tower of Terror. Girl behind us hated it. Poor kid.

Have to love the action cams!

On the Teacups, only because we felt like we "should."

Because if you can wear your ice cream you should.

A lego store? Um, yes please says Aidan!
A fun family adventure we will never forget!

Jackson Hole or BUST!

Believe or not, the Kearneys are wild about soccer. Seriously wild. And as I type this we are in the midst of 8 games in two days. Yep, that's a lot of soccer and we still love it. The families are fun, the kids are amazing, it's outside and sometimes there is beer. What's not to love?

Morgan's team recently played the Jackson Hole Tournament and I found that I love Mo's new team and I love Jackson Hole. Win, win.
Luckily, it's Morgan's turn to have a professional photographer parent snapping pics. And snap great pics he did!
He even caught Morgan's "concentration tongue!"
Love this kid's spirit!
And this one is my favorite!
Early morning 8 a.m. game, with a 7 a.m. warm up in 30 degrees. Yow.

We could hardly see across the field. But that didn't stop this from being the most bizarre game I've ever witnessed. Which ended in overtime PKs and a RUSH win!
Onto the championship!
The girls went from 30 degree freezing to hot, hot, hot Sunday afternoon play.
They played a team that was insanely good. And fought so hard for an overtime PK shootout. The ladies lost, but considering how incredibly well they played, their cheering section couldn't have been prouder.

I want to eat that little face right up. She is just the best.
Love this team. Incredible girls, full of hard work ethic and lots of silliness.

Mo and I had a ton of fun exploring Jackson during off times.
And then a Lego Man (Lauren) showed up at our door. Proof that Morgan has found her "people."
Fairly certain the Jackson Hole High School kids who view this view every day have NO idea just how lucky they are!
But they also have to have this view a lot I'm certain, which was COLD!

No tourney is complete without an overpriced sweatshirt.
Can't wait for the next tournament!
