Soccer!!!

And just like that, it's a wrap! And by "just like that," I mean 6 games in 5 days... But have no fear, we loved every second of it.
Sadly, I don't have any pictures of Morgan from the tournament. I was a little busy doing some side-lines coaching. And by "side-lines coaching," I mean yelling out terms that I still don't really know the definition of. But it's exciting and fun and I can't quite help myself.

But I do have this celebratory picture of a little lady who scored the only and winning goal in the final minutes of the game. Oh this girl....She is too much fun to watch...

Please, please do not be screaming out in jealous agony over the shots I captured with my iphone. I know, it's a sad little display....
But I ASSURE you that what I have captured here is my son, I mean "our" son (because soccer skills clearly came from Ryan), completely giving his all and having an amazing game....
 More incredible action shots.
 Look for the blondie.

Aidan's the one lying down. Do you ever run so fast and hard that you fall down? Yeah, me neither. If I took even one of the flying leaps that these boys take, I'd be down for the count.

Please don't tell anyone, but I have a big crush on the coach. Coach Ryan is so great with these boys, he can herd cats like no-ones business... It's been so fun to watch and I'm a little sad that we won't be back here until the fall!

Edible little man. He is just at times too much out there. Humble and borderline embarrassed every time he scores a goal and he always does exactly what his coaches tell him to do... (Even when I am sneakily trying to tell him to do different from the sidelines, "Go for the glory kid!") I'm so proud of not just his talent, but his sweet little soul out there, doing what's right...  See you in the fall RUSH! I'll be there in my mini-van, with writing on all the windows with excited statements such as "GO for the GOAL!," and "Morgan is #1," wearing my visor and track suit and with soccer tattoos on my cheeks! Just kidding, I haven't gotten that far into the soccer mom phase... yet!

Mother Mother.....

Today's blogging is brought to you by "Two Sick Kids at Home and a Mom Not Feeling Too Hot Either." I shake my fist at you immunity gods, seriously, this year has been rough cold/flu wise for the Kearneys. Wahh wahhh.... But that didn't stop me from having a FANTASTIC Mother's Day. I pity the fool who marries Morgan, Ryan has set the bar so incredibly high for spoiling the lady in his life.
After a week of crazy soccer/lacrosse madness, Saturday night we hit the greenbelt and biked to Lucky 13 for some pizza and brew fun!
And then decided to hit Locavore and Powells for some treats, more brews and cheesecake. Because nothing says Mother's Day like massive amounts of calories and sugar, yow!
Ryan always appreciates the accoutrements on his dessert. He's fancy like that.
And Morgan always enjoys a big piece of globbery sugar!
As does Aidan. Because sugared up children are well, sugared up wild children. Just how I like 'em.
Somehow I managed an extra day of celebrating after Saturday's evening fun. A jog in the foothills while Ryan did MORE yard work. Oh yes please! Followed up by a family mountain biking trip and a stop in Hyde Park for yep, sugar and brews. I see a pattern.
Riding our bikes back to the East end led to a really disgusting water fight. *Think camelsbacks and spitting on each other* Hey, it's Mother's Day, I can spit water on my kids if I want to....
Who are we kidding though, I sadly lost that water fight... Weird that we all have the same cold right now. Huh.
When we got home, Ryan made dinner while I was treated to the "MA Spa." Aptly named after Morgan and Aidan. But Morgan and Aidan were nowhere in sight. Instead they were replaced by these charming short people (wearing my clothes), who had fantastic little English accents.
This little gal checked me in and surprisingly knew I had two children. She informed me that my daughter would go on to play professional soccer and marry a professional soccer player named Rinaldo, but that sadly my son would become a "hobo."
A better pedicure never existed.
And they served wine at this joint, fantastic!
I had quite a few colors to pick from....

And I even had a head massage! (Please disregard the sun damaged skin, questionable choices were made in my 20's.)
These two....

And a massage!

I have no idea how I got so lucky to have this gang of wild things.... And why in the world would I get so spoiled? Being their mom is easy peasy and the greatest joy. (Except when they didn't sleep through the night, enough said).
And a Monday treat, had to throw this in. Bull snake on a Monday walk in the 'hood. Have to love Idaho living...

HAWAII, Round 2!

Why yes, I am typing a report for the court on this fine Sunday and I am procrastinating with the blog.... Whatever works! We just returned from another beach filled, sun kissed, FANTASTIC vacation to Hawaii... This time to Maui and it did not disappoint!!!
The morning started off with lots of adventure, Dolly teaching the kids inappropriate sayings, leaving her purse in the car (thank goodness we didn't take a cab) and a push through the Boise Airport.
The Pope is currently working on Ryan's application for sainthood... Stay tuned!

It was a motley crew aboard the Alaska Airlines!
And my 84 year old daughter the motliest of them all. The kids plugged into their devices and it was a super quiet ride. Except this old gal wasn't a fan of the technology and preferred to talk the entire trip.
And Ms. Mo mustache you a question?
They made a restaurant after her!
Waiting in PDX is hard, really hard....But at least they repped Seattle like pros!
Rental cars TAKE FOREVER!
But they had this waiting for them a short drive later and all was good in the world....
Ryan and I are incredibly proud of our amazing surfers! It was insane to see those little bodies pop up on the surf board and ride some waves! I rented a paddle board and I'm sure there was someone incredibly proud of my ability to eat it on every wave encountered. It's not as easy as it looks!
Look at that girl!!!!
Taking after her father. 7 a.m. and this is where the Kearney family could be found....
The sand castles this year were taken up a notch and villages were made!
This edible little bug!!
And sometimes I had to send photos to friends at work to let them know I was working hard too!!!!
Once again, sun up to sun down the Kearneys were in water.... It was absolutely surreal to see Morgan reliving my childhood in Maui, in the same pool, doing the exact same things.... So many great memories at this condo!
Food dye in shaved ice is completely organic, right? That blue coloring isn't food dye is it? "Vacation mommy," as I have been dubbed doesn't care so much about such matters....
Wild hair, don't care!

Reflections of a handsome surfer....

This picture doesn't capture the pool side wrassling that was happening....
Lots and lots of pool related shenanigans!
And dinner in the 116 every night... Dolly and Bob owned this condo and it's still a family staple!
Bathing beauts....
I love this threesome!

It was HOT the entire time we were there, mid to high 80's. So if you were looking for us, we were in the ocean!
Or gazing at the ocean...
Or snug as a bug in a rug, relaxing...
Or in the ocean!

Grandma helped us keep track of this little mad man....

There were a lot of insults written in the sand. The standard, "Morgan is little."

Toward the end of our vacation, we actually ventured down the road and went out for some meals. Traveling with food allergies is tricky, so once we find a place that accommodates us, we are the biggest fans! Luckily this place was a short walk for us....

THIS mommy loves THIS boy.....

Tricky, tricky....
Watch out Wimbledon, Kearney family is coming for YOU. Kidding, we are pretty bad at this sport.
A couple days before we came to Hawaii, the Seattle Seahawks played a game of football ON THIS BEACH. And a day after we left, there was a fatal shark attack closing this beach. Lots happening here people...
Reflecting man by the sea. Ryan apparently did a lot of reflecting this trip.
As did Morgan!
Look at these two!
Prepping for future modelling gigs...

Rock and shell hound this boy is.
More reflecting... This trip was literally the first in probably ever that Ryan did not have deal with some type of work crisis and spend every morning tied to his computer. HOORAY!

Back at the standard again. See we told you we are loyal to our food allergy friendly establishments.
I must have just said something incredibly witty and fun. {Kidding, probably not.}
Monday FUNday. Soaking in our last day of laughs before the trek home to reality.
Sad little Sounder.

This is what sugar does!
A book, a beer and a pool. Happy place!

View from our balcony, didn't want to leave!
Commemorative shot of the 116

Flying home is tiring for Morgan and intense for Ryan.
And also tiring for Ryan.
Apparently some road builders were busy while we were gone... ROAD!!! It's coming!

Until next time Hawaii!
