Fall, cont.

Ryan and I managed to sneak away from the endless sports games/practices to an Avett Brothers Concert. They did not disappoint!

I had the following day off, so my niece and I took a hike. Fast forward two years, Noelle is the stick figure/freshman at BSU. The hard sell is on!
What? Then more volleyball? Weird!
After volleyball, it was pizza out and Teton Gravity Film Festival.
And then guess what? More volleyball! This time an all day tournament at a high school. It was single elimination, but the girls kept winning! Second place finish!
Aidan came by after his soccer game to cheer on big sister.

Baylee has been feeling  a little left out of the activity, so she attempted to become Morgan's second skin.
This has never happened. Morgan doesn't ever fall asleep anywhere besides her bed and after laying there for hours. But looky here. She is proving my theory that a tired teen is a good teen. And tired she is.
Back to regular school play!
And then Gem State Tournament! Where we saw every type of weather, except snow.

Twinning.
Aidan's team won the championships, only having one goal scored on them the entire tournament!

Oh these boys! They play so hard and with so much heart.

And then Morgan's turn to shine! The girls made it to the championship, but unfortunately lost in the final game. It was one of those games where you are almost certain there is a forcefield over the goal.
Morgan and Ella, captains!
So proud of our girl!

A great group of girls!!!

Tahoe or Bust!

My picture skills were a little better in Tahoe. Ryan and I borderline arm wrestle to see who gets to go with Aidan on his travel soccer tournaments. His team has really fun parents and it's a terrific group of boys. I won this round of wrasslin and off to Tahoe for us!
Our hotel was right on the beach and to say the view was stunning, just doesn't do it justice.
This is the face of two people who spent 8 hours in a car and are feeling a little cramped up.
These two cars parked at the grocery store may have been the highlight of Aidan's trip.
We were lucky enough to have a late start to Saturday's game, so up the Heavenly ski resort gondola we went!
The views were incredible!
Especially with a rainbow!

View from the top!

It was freezing up there, so an $8 hot chocolate was necessary.
Our only regret was we didn't have more time to play at the top of Heavenly. Mountain coaster, rock climbing, ropes course, etc. But we only had time for a quick game of jenga.

And then it was game time! And the boys came to play!

It's kind of a bummer when you travel 8 hours and have to play your club's other team. Especially a bummer because these boys are close friends and so are the parents.
After the game, the coaches had the boys give the other team's players positive feedback. I think they could have gone on and on all day.... Such great kids. But we had a championship game to get to!

Steve and Cesar, coaches extraordinaire.
And a championship win! And years taken off the parent's lives. Think double overtime, super physical opponent, last 10 second winning goal shot by Lizandro and last 1 second out of nowhere save by Micah. I mean, my heart is pounding just typing that.
Oh that boy! He was incredible, complete with two goals, despite playing defense...

A late championship game meant a late Tahoe exit time. So a couple of other families and us stopped in the booming metropolis known as Winnemucca.
We hit the road bright and early in an attempt to get to back to Boise early for work and school. But a "super load" had other plans for us. Like multiple hour delay so a stupid mobile home could be transported not the highway. No, I'm not bitter or anything.

But delay and all, I'd do anything for another weekend that little face! Such fun.....

And then it was fall....

Not sure how we got to fall so quickly! But it was a whirlwind summer and good to have at least a couple of fall weekends at home!
The world's cutest golfer (says the world's most biased mother), finished up a super fun golf season with his soccer buddy.
And this little pumpkin can be seen driving her "almost" car around the hood. Watch out neighbors.
And then it was the first day of school! Rumor has it that 8th grade is dumb, but East Junior High is the BEST.SCHOOL.EVER. Off to a great start!
And this boy is starting his last year of elementary school *sniff, sniff*.
And then Morgan surprised us all by wearing a dress to school. (She had to for a volleyball game). But isn't she darling?
Morgan made the 8th grade varsity team and it was such a fun season! The girls were incredible.
And remember Taison? Who could forget Morgan's buddy Taison? Apparently, his parents are feeding something healthy because he's had a titch of a growth spurt....
My fall photog skills are shameful. I took Morgan and Devon to Salt Lake for a weekend of shopping and Lagoon, but this was my only picture?!? These two are something and I continue to be tempted to take Devon as my own.
And again, terrible with the camera! Ryan and I snuck away to Sun Valley to celebrate 16 years and this was my only pic. Ugh. But a super fun weekend with my BFF.
But I did manage to get a lot of really random "after" the action shots from sporting events. So that's cool.
