It really is bad that I haven't posted anything because if it wasn't for this blog getting published every year, then my children would have NO idea what happened in their childhood. Let's just say that I stopped putting together photo albums about 10 years ago. Eek.
Aidan and I recently had a sick day home from work and school. Turns out I was really the only one who was sick, so I got hopped up on cold medicine and harassed him. As evidence here.
After a day of rest, I decided to try out a girl's weekend in McCall. I lasted one night. But what a night it was!!! DJ Molly H. spinnin' tunes like a boss.... Molly and I went to college together and shockingly we haven't changed much....
This was before I realized my cold was winning and I needed to catch a ride home with a friend and her husband....
And then we hit Seattle for spring break! Well.... The kids did anyway... But we dropped them off and I got to visit some dear, sweet friends. Do you think I took even one picture of my friend's Leisha's darling two daughters or her insanely incredible house? Nope... But I did snap a pic of her view of the water while waiting to finish teaching her yoga class... I am contemplating moving into her basement, her kids and house were that tempting! (And the homemade energy bars her husband made...)
Morgan recently updated her instagram "about" section... Which accurately reflects this nutty kid.
My oh my oh my how our Saturday nights at the Kearney household have changed. We had an incredible run of extending our college behavior into young adulthood at the Kearney parent's home... But alas, now it's Papa Murphys and a 9 p.m. check out time. My liver says "namaste" about this new development.
Cutest kids ever. They stole my heart. Morgan was ELATED to spend time with Kiara. "Mommy, she is JUST like me!!!!"
After Seattle, I was missing that place.... And then I went down our hill for a little jog and remembered just how incredible Idaho is....
And then I really immersed myself in Idaho, I mean Portlandia, by spending the weekend slinging beer tokens at Treefort. So.much.fun! Love that festival, every single wacky, weird and fantastic thing about it!
Ladies hard at work.
Kate, official Treefort organizer for Ben Towne Foundation and cat-herder extraordinaire. She seriously should have pitched a tent down there because I don't think she ever left!
Karen wasn't actually signed up for this shift, but I'm glad she showed up! It was much more fun with her humor there...
LAX season is in full force and Aidan has quite the cheering section this year. Two lovely ladies from Park View Condos... Dolly and Patty. If you live in Boise, look for them. They are joined at the hip, constantly laughing and typically driving around lost. No joke.
It might have looked like a lovely day, but we all almost passed out from freezing-ness. Miserable. But we won and Aidan had his first goal!
Dolly had to take off early due to aforementioned coldness.... Benefits of her condo location is Morgan could go with her!
If you can't find us, look for us on the soccer field. That's typically where we are. Aidan has had an insane season so far. I think he had 4 goals this game? I lost count but it sure is fun cheering that little man on (much to his embarrassment).
Morgan and I took an opportunity to hit Chipotle before a game and I kid you not, we have to do that before every game. She tended goal like a mad-woman, think diving in the air catching the ball! What? Then, because this moment has to be documented, tied game and literally two seconds left and this little home-girl scores a goal! The entire other team was in the goalie box and she still scored.... Her smile was such that I could die today a happy mom!
And then it was Easter... I gave up chocolate for lent, well kind of. I mean, I could have chocolate if it was in something like a protein bar. But I digress, I overdosed on Easter Sunday, so not many pictures. I was busy laying on the couch with a trail of chocolate wrappers.
But we did go to church! An Easter miracle!
And Hawaii is around the corner. This countdown on my phone is my, "Oh crap, do some situps or something" countdown.
The ladies and I hit a super fun night at Split Rail Winery to do some drinkin' and some paintin'. Erin was very intent as we all were (kidding).
Let's just say that we are better at drinking wine than we are at painting birds...
LONG LIVE JAMMY FRIDAY!!!!!!!
Morgan is super excited to spend Fridays at home with me too. Right? Right?
Twins. I love these two together, lots of running, wrestling and giggling.
Notice how they even take turns with doing the pouty face?
They may be playing in the big leagues of "select," and there may be chest bumping and other dude things going on, but they still their dad/coach to tie their shoes....
How you know your "husband picker" was working almost 13 years prior? Your 10 year old daughter has a sleepover and he volunteers to play four square. I win!
