Ultimate Borney

We were so lucky to be invited along for the annual Bordner family reunion in Lake Chelan. Such a blast, many a morning has come since our trip and I wish I was waking up for another day of fun there! Thank you, thank you Bordners!

Training for a marathon isn't too painful when this is your view on your jog... And knowing there was an adult bev and a lovely lake to greet me at the end wasn't too shabby either!

Oh how our vacations have changed! Jeremy had his little gal, Lola strapped to him non-stop, even during an impromptu baseball game..

Misty May and Kerri Walsh have nothing on this beach volleyball crew. Assume the stance Jeremy!

This guy was content forgoing beach antics in favor of endless home building...

Uncle ROY! Always a blast with the extended Bordner crew...

This girl is still tired from the non-stop FUN!

And these two have developed the cutest little friendship. Aidan made me email Kirstin the other day so he could tell her that a.) she's cool and b.) he REALLY likes playing with Ryder.

Boating to dinner is much more fun than driving!

It's so fun in fact, that sometimes you have to break out in dance. Atta girl!

Don't mess with this character.

Or this one! A fun day at Slidewaters!

Morgan taught Ryder how to "finger knit" and he's now developed a love for the craft. These kids make me laugh!

Chelan was a big and little kid's playground. So much to do and all in the sun. So much fun that Payton literally fell asleep standing up on the boat.

After Chelan, we hit up the Tri Cities for some hydroplane fun! We had a birthday party for Ms. Payton, which got a little wild. "It's a lay down party, you don't understand!" That's for you MC!!!

Dancing maybe?

Jeremy taking the moves up a notch!

Uh oh, someone's pooped.

And someone else is REALLY pooped. Don't mind the black eye, that's what happens when boy vs. rock occurs.

Birthday girl and her big brother!

The gang!

Sillies.

We took an evening cruise down the boardwalk and maybe, just maybe were the only people who had music blaring from a stroller. Call me? Maybe?

I finally get a picture of me and the kids and I look like I was in a wrestling match and the kids get silly. Sigh.

Out of order here... Chelan view from our condo. Did we really have to leave?

Oh Lola! Sometimes a girl has got to go, regardless of whether or not she's on her daddy's lap...

Such a fun, fun trip... THANK YOU BORDNERS!

More Kearney Camping!

We escaped the heat and smoke in Boise for the Middle Fork of the Boise... Also known as Ryan and my former "cabin." We did honeymoon there after all...

Party tricks!

A little fish, anyone? The game and the face!

Where'd we get that homeless guy? I kid, the beard is gone, hooray (it wasn't that bad).

Oy vey...

At Esage, the kids have been busy making "Fairy Houses," and Aidan was OBSESSED with making the perfect house for the fairies... The imagination this kid has is second to none!

My little blonde love bug.

While Aidan was preparing for the arrival of his imaginary friends, Morgan was fishing her little heart out. Hours and hours were spent on this rock. Unfortunately, the fish might have been distracted by the endless chatter...

What, me? Talk too much, no...

We had a visit from the Hefner-Glavins and of course their very fun dogs, Chuggatch and Red!

And the sweetest member of the family, Boone!

We learned Boone likes the older ladies...

And these kids love their old dog...

Morgan and I correctly named ourselves the "bad girls of badminton." We played game after game after game. The "bad girls" title doesn't mean we're tough, we're actually just pretty bad... But we had fun!

Look at this kid! And look at the skin!! Simple pleasures people. Morgan recently informed me she "is going to take complete responsibility" for her skin care. Notice how I now have time to blog?

Are you kidding me Idaho? Does it get any prettier than this?

Behind the camera was a hyperventilating, nervous wreck. Sorry kids, this what you get for having a mom who used to do Emergency Room social work, a neurotic, worry wart, I've become.

Family swim time. I swear I was there, no pictures, but really, I was there too.

Water fight time.

A little quiet time. Don't worry, it didn't last long!

Beach babes.

The blondies having a dude moment.

If a dog could be loved to death, I don't think Byron would survive. These kids can't get enough of him!

Girl's Weekend in SV!

Heather graciously hosted another fun weekend in Sun Valley! Such fun was had and I'm still giggling about our conversations, funny encounters and fantastic people watching...

Apparently great minds think alike... White pants anyone?

Patiently waiting for J.J. Grey and Mofro to play a little surprise concert. Well worth the wait!!!

And there they are! There was a music festival going on in Ketchum and unbeknownst to us, one of the bands decided to head to Whiskey Jacques for a surprise appearance. Amazing show, I'm now a fan...

Take me to the spa mama! Heather's soon to be brother in law got us into the most wonderful spa... We relaxed by the pool ALL DAY...

Karen thinks this picture makes us look like we are girlfriends. In reality, this would be Heather and I having a great, great time on the dance floor loving the 80's cover band. Heather and I have a lot in common, both married boys named Ryan, both have one daughter and one son (and that's all she wrote), both grew up in Western Washington, both root for the Huskies, both have careers we love, both love a good cocktail and both can't stop laughing most days. Thank you Heather for another FUN adventure!!

And like most Sun Valley visits, there was a Herber sighting... What's Andy up to these days? Oh you know, Moo Bah Bah, his latest venture... (Don't worry, he didn't quit his day job but this might be more fun!)

Look at the names of those menu items. Herber was DEFINITELY involved in this project... My favorite might be that Andy recently traded a case of Keystone for a llama he named Janet Reno. How we get by without this guy's regular entertainment, I have no idea?

FIRE!

Ryan and I were enjoying a cocktail (or two) in our backyard when we heard a billion (okay maybe three) firetrucks in the 'hood... Little did we know there was a lot of action yards away from our house. What to do, what to do? Oh I know... Jump in for an interview!

Quite the crowd of neighbors were around, so again, what to do? Bring beer! So Ryan did and then got interviewed. Don't worry, it was aired. Apparently bearded guys in white t-shirts holding a tall boy of Rainier are not "interview appropriate." Nor were his silly answers to the silly questions being asked. No worries, we all got a good laugh and that's what matters, right?

That'd be the fire right above our neighbor's house. A little too close for comfort...

Meanwhile...

While Ryan and Jon were conquering Mike Rhinedeer, the kids and I headed to see my grandparents new place and have some cousin time!

Look at this gaggle o' kids! Aidan was not happy that I had mentioned I was going to send this to dad. He didn't like thinking about dad what about to do... When we arrived in Washington and saw Mike Rhinedeer, I think both kids lost their breath for a second. He's climbing THAT?!?

We even caught a parade.... I realized that Morgan is officially a big girl, the mad dash for candy was ON. Who cares if she can't eat any of it, the fun is in the race for it!

Both kids were unknowingly advertising for a politician we have no idea about with big buttons they loved. Oh the simple pleasures!
